Volunteers Needed: Thanksgiving Meal Service for Homeless Women

Angeline’s Day Center

Help YWCA make the holidays a little brighter for the women we serve! Volunteer at our Angeline's Day Center and help serve a hot Thanksgiving meal to women experiencing homelessness.

Our Angeline's Day Center provides a safe space for women experiencing homelessness to shower, do laundry, get a hot meal, and take a break. Holiday meals look a little different from normal meal service at Angeline's; we like to make it special.

We are seeking volunteers to help us set up and serve a hot Thanksgiving meal on November 26th from 11:00 AM - 3:30 PM. Volunteers will assist with:

  • Prepping food
  • Decorating the dining area
  • Serving meals to the women at the tables
  • Helping with clean up

This opportunity will be in a kitchen environment and volunteers will want to wear comfortable clothes, minimal jewelry, hair back/tied up, and non slip shoes. Open to adults and families with children ages 14 and up (youths under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult).

Sign up today and help make the holidays a little brighter for the women we serve.
