YWCA Announces Belltown Neighborhood Meeting on May 27 Regarding Upcoming Redevelopment Project

SEATTLE, WA — YWCA Seattle | King | Snohomish announces a neighborhood meeting on Wednesday, May 27 to inform the community about the upcoming construction and redevelopment of our Lexington-Concord Apartments at 2402 2nd Ave in Belltown. The new construction project will create a seven-story building with 83 units of affordable housing for families.

Neighborhood Meeting:

  • When: May 27, 3:30-5:30pm
  • Where: Plus84 Coffee, 2401 3rd Ave, Seattle
  • Who: Representatives from YWCA, SMR Architects, JH Brawner, Truebeck Construction

Construction Details:

  • Start Date: July 7, 2026
  • Duration: approx. twenty (20) months
  • Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. – 6 p.m. 
  • Location: 2402 2nd Ave, Seattle WA 98121 (corner of 2nd Ave and Battery)

Traffic Impacts:

  • Sidewalk detours
  • Flaggers present as needed at alleyway

Community Coordination:

  • Project partners are working closely with the City of Seattle and local stakeholders to minimize disruption and maintain safe access for pedestrians and vehicles.
