She manages the YWCA blog, content marketing, and copy-writes for the communications team. She believes in finding different ways to talk about social injustices through client’s stories and testimonials. Her work stems from the belief that every woman is powerful in her own right, and with a supportive community, anything can be achieved.
While Salma attended her last year of High School at Lake Washington High School in Kirkland, Salma attended college in Chicago, Illinois, and Cardiff Wales with degrees in International Relations and Human Rights Law. She uses content to show how and why YWCA serves the community, while emphasizing racial disparities that still plague our society.
In her spare time, Salma spends time having dance parties with her nephews, doing CrossFit, taking walks in nature and always answering the question, “Where are you from?”
