Civic Cocktail: Reflecting on Women’s Housing and History
For this month’s Civic Cocktail, Seattle CityClub is highlighting Women’s History Month and focusing on women’s homelessness and women’s history in Washington State.
Moderator Lauren McGowan will review the specific challenges faced by unhoused women in our region and the progress made to address homelessness with speakers from YWCA and Mary’s Place. In the second segment, Alicia Crank, Executive Director of Seattle CityClub will speak with Marilyn Morgan, Author of Trailblazing Black Women of Washington State, to discuss women’s history in Washington State: their untold stories and contributions to our community.

- The event will be held both in-person at The Collective and online (livestreamed).
- The formal program begins at 6:30 pm. The Collective's bar and restaurant is open during the day if you'd like to arrive early and we'll provide appetizers during the event.
- There will be an approximately 15-minute break between the first and second segment.
- Attendees will be able to submit questions in person and through chat on livestream.
