GenNext Advocacy 101

Learn about GenNext and how to join in making a change with your community.

When many people think of YWCA, they think first about our work as a provider of social services for women empowerment, housing, economic advancement, health, and safety.

Fewer people realize that advocacy permeates everything we do. It plays a critical role in our work to end inequity by addressing the root causes of injustice. This advocacy happens at every level, from national to local, and includes our staff, program participants, and you – our friends and supporters. On April 24, we welcome our GenNext to come meet the public policy team, learn the basics of advocacy, and hear how to become an effective advocate alongside your community.

We’re looking forward to sharing the ways our team is working with the community to fight for social change, and how YOU can support advocating for changes that bring women and BIPOC communities closer to equity.
