Phyllis Nomura has over 30 years of experience with nearly 20 years spent as the Chief Financial Officer for several pacific northwest financial institutions and firms. She has extensive experience in improving financial strategy, systems, controls, and processes, with a mindset on continuous improvement. Her primary responsibilities are to drive strategic and tactical execution of planning, accounting, finance, and budgeting to provide financial strength and flexibility to achieve financial excellence within the organization. She has provided operational, IT, compliance, and risk oversight with her CFO roles. Phyllis believes that working together and building partnerships within our communities, we will make amazing progress on the YWCA mission to eliminate racism and empower women.

Phyllis earned a B.B.A. in Accounting from Grand Valley State University and holds her CPA license in the State of Washington. She has held board president, chair, and treasurer positions with ArtsWest and WestSide Baby. When not working, she enjoys traveling, hiking, kayaking, and spending time with her husband and two kitties.
