Soledad O’Brien to Headline Annual YWCA Luncheon in King County

Annual YWCA Inspire Luncheon celebrates 125 years of serving Washington women and girls
April 22, 2019

SEATTLE — Soledad O’Brien will be the keynote speaker of YWCA’s annual Inspire luncheon to be held next month. Currently the anchor of Matter of Fact with Soledad O'Brien and chairwoman of Starfish Media Group, O’Brien is one of Newsweek magazine’s “10 People who Make America Great” and is well-known for bringing race and gender equity conversations to living rooms across the country. The luncheon will aim to spark fresh conversations around race and gender equity in King County and shine a spotlight on the vital services YWCA Seattle | King | Snohomish provides around our region’s most pressing issues, including affordable housing, job training, gender-based violence, and health access. The event is part of YWCA’s “All In for Washington Women” 125th anniversary year celebration, aimed at highlighting strong women and girls across our region and promoting a vision for Washington that works for all women.
