At YWCA, we are on a mission eliminate racism and empower women. We work with women and families furthest from opportunity and work to eliminate disparities in housing, economic advancement, health, and safety. BIPOC communities have continued to be the hardest hit in the face of continued economic challenges resulting from the pandemic and continued inflation. To support those most vulnerable in our community, we need your help!

For Thanksgiving, we are requesting grocery store gift cards in $75 increments that will be given out to families before the holiday so they can celebrate with their own traditional dishes and foods their family loves. Each $75 received provides a meal for a small family. Gift cards received will be distributed to families in our shelters across King and Snohomish Counties. Preferred cards are Safeway, QFC/Fred Meyer and Walmart. Please include activation codes with your gift cards.

Thank you to everyone who supported our School Days Drive this year! With your generous contributions, approximately 900 kids were given either gift cards or backpacks filled with supplies. Special thanks to the Seattle Times, Epiphany Church, Amazon, Comcast, Bertschi School, Nestle, and Redapt for providing the kids in our shelters the gift of brand new backpacks and school supplies.
For individuals and/or organization who want to host a drive for YWCA, we now have a “Host a Drive” sign up form on our Volunteer page where you can sign up to host the drive of your choice. We’ll send you a list of the items we need along with a link to our Amazon wishlist and instructions.
