Survivor-Defendants in the Criminal Justice System

Learn how YWCA partnered with the King County Prosecutors Office to meet the needs of survivor-defendants, victims of abuse charged with a DV crime.

At YWCA, we know that not all violence is acknowledged or responded to equally, and that some victims go unrecognized altogether. That’s why we work every day to end gender-based violence, including domestic violence, trafficking, and sexual assault.

Join YWCA to learn about a unique partnership with the King County Prosecutors Office that better supports survivors-defendants, victims of abuse who are accused of committing domestic violence related crimes.

This event is part of YWCA's "Week Without Violence: Black, Bold & Brave," from October 18 - 24.

Featured presenters include:

  • Doris O'Neal, Director of GBVSS (YWCA)
  • David Martin, Senior Deputy Prosecutor (King County)
