Housing and Homelessness Advocacy Day

Join YWCA at the Washington State Capitol to advocate for affordable housing for all!

Hosted by the Washington Low Income Housing Alliance, Housing and Homelessness Advocacy Day is a chance for people from all across the state to come together in support of affordable housing. The day features a rally on the Capitol steps, workshops on advocacy, and visits with legislators.

This year, YWCA Seattle | King | Snohomish has been supporting a number of housing bills through our digital advocacy platform Firesteel, such as:

  • Fully funding the Housing Trust Fund, which builds affordable housing across Washington State
  • Ending discrimination against renters by unscrupulous landlords who deny renters housing because they qualify for Section 8 assistance

YWCA will be attending and demanding policy solutions to our housing affordability crisis from our lawmakers. Look for us in Olympia and join us in securing housing justice for all Washingtonians.
