Meet Jeanice Hardy, our Chief Officer of Programs, in charge of overseeing all participant-facing services, including homelessness services, permanent housing, economic advancement, children & youth services, health care access, and gender-based violence services.

Jeanice joined YWCA Seattle | King | Snohomish in 1998 as an Employment Counselor. She was quickly promoted to Program Director after only 6 months of employment with YWCA and grew her career from there. Jeanice was most recently the Regional Director of King County Emergency Housing and Intervention. Jeanice has maintained the largest portfolio of programs of all YWCA Regional Directors and the most diverse array of services including emergency shelter, housing stability services, youth service, gender-based violence services, and parent reunification programs. Before joining YWCA, Jeanice owned Washington Works for over eight years. Washington Works was a welfare-to-work program focused on low-income women.

She actively participates in local agency meetings: All King County School District, DSHS, DCYF, and Coalition to End Homelessness. Previously she participated on the policy committee for Coordinated Entry for All in King County.
