WorkSource Affiliate Downtown Seattle is an American Job Center operated by the YWCA Seattle | King | Snohomish at YWCA Opportunity Place in Downtown Seattle.

Please call 206.436.8600 (press 2) to set up an appointment. We do allow walk-ins, but require screening questions, masks, and social distancing and are still limiting capacity to no more than 10 job seekers at a time.

Staff are onsite during those hours to assist with job search, unemployment applications, filing taxes, applying for benefits, and other critical needs. Other services including job readiness training, job search workshops, ESL and digital literacy are being offered via Zoom.


At this WorkSource site, we offer a variety of employment, educational and economic empowerment services including:

  • A job bank with computers, phones, and fax as well as updated job listings
  • Career development assistance including resume, cover letter and interview assistance
  • Technology workshops and “open lab” for application assistance
  • Career counseling, job clubs, resume clinics, mock interviews, and applications help
  • Job fairs, hiring events, employer panels, and industry forums
  • Basic education, ESL, and GED classes as well as the High School 21+ program
  • Individualized and intensive employment services based on program eligibility
