For all of April, we have the special opportunity to celebrate the hard work of volunteers everywhere, especially those that dedicate their time to YWCA. We appreciate our volunteers no matter the time of year, but take this month to especially recognize the many ways they contribute to YWCA’s mission.
April 10 was all Women's Equal Pay Day, the day women's earnings "catch up" to men's earnings from the previous year. After decades of fighting, equal pay is better than what it has been in the past, however, we have not yet reached total equity for all women.
