REPORTS TO: Program Manager, Employment Services
LOCATION: WorkSource Renton
2024 3rd Ave, Seattle
DESCRIPTION: The Instructor utilizes Microsoft Unlimited Potential and Digital Literacy curricula and delivers/teach computer skills such as Basic computer, Word, Excel and Power Point classes for customers of WorkSource Renton.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assesses needs and interests for computer skills instruction among the WorkSource customer base
Uses provided curriculum materials to develop computer skills classes which are responsive to the needs of the customer base
Conducts outreach to WorkSource customers and the community
Assesses student’s skills and instructional needs
Delivers class to groups and individuals
Provides opportunities for students to practice their skills in a supervised setting
Monitors, evaluates and documents student progress
Maintains attendance and progress records
Prepares and submits required reports for program funding sources and other reports as requested
Coordinates service delivery with WorkSource staff
Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum one year teaching experience
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products required
Experience working with multi-cultural and/or disadvantaged populations
Certificate or degree in computer applications preferred
HOURS, RATE, BENEFITS
40 hours per week
Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) Classification: Non-Exempt
Hourly wage DOE
