Facility details: The YWCA Family Village Child Care program is located within its namesake, the YWCA's Family Village in Redmond. Our On-site parking is available for convenient drop-off and pick-up.

Age groups:
Toddlers (12-30 months)
Preschool (30 months-5 years)

Curriculum description: We offer toddler, preschool and Head Start Pre-K programs to families who are eligible. Our toddler program focuses on developing social/emotional and beginning self-help skills. The pre-k curriculum is taught in two classrooms and includes topics dealing with feelings, building self-esteem, improving community, nature, farm and wildlife, self-help skills and sensory, fine, and gross motor development. Our curriculum includes field trips to the zoo and a working farm. Volunteers from the Washington State Literacy Program regularly visit our site and read enriching and culturally relevant stories to children, fostering children's enjoyment of books and their desire to read independently.

Staff-to-child ratios:
Toddlers 1:5
Preschool 1:7

Meals: Breakfast, mid-morning snack and lunch are provided.

Enrollment: Our site serves low to moderate-income families, including homeless families and foster children. All families who fall under HUD income guidelines are welcome to apply to the program.

Subsidy Acceptance: Family Village Child Care accepts subsidies from DSHS, Childcare Resources Homeless Project and the City of Redmond.

Fees and Rates:

  • Monthly Tuition: Young Preschool: $550/ month; Older Preschool: $550/month; Toddlers: $600/ month.
  • Registration Fee: $50 per child, due upon enrollment.

Licensing: This center is licensed by King County and the State of Washington (DSHS).

How to Apply: Parents or legal guardians interested in enrolling their child(ren) in this program should go to the child care center (the address is listed above) and fill out an application. Assistance is available for families who need help filling out the forms.
