Curriculum description: Dunlap Child Care offers a School Age Enrichment program focused on skill building in social expression, cultural pride and respect, problem solving and conflict resolution. The program utilizes the YWCA's Picture Peace and Adventures in Peacemaking curricula and partners with local artists. We have a strong academic support environment based on the Seattle School District's Alignment Project, and we incorporate the SMART, Reading is Cool and soon-to-be released Math is Cool (developed by School's Out Washington) curricula.

Our preschool program partners with Seattle Public school to offer full-day, full-year Head Start. We work with the DLM Early Childhood curriculum in this program while also maintaining an emergent environment. Preschool students are encouraged to develop a love for learning as well as self-sufficiency skills (such as tying shoes, brushing teeth, name recognition and writing and kindergarten readiness) through combination of set and emergent curriculum philosophies.

School-Age 1:10
