Facility details: The 1201 Child Care facility is located in downtown Seattle, inside the Washington Mutual Tower and has specially designated parking for dropping off and picking up children

Age groups:
Infants (2 months-13 months)
Young Toddlers (13 months-24 months)
Older Toddlers (24 months-32 months)
Note: Once children in this program turn 3 years old, their parents receive priority status to enroll them in the Seneca program.

Curriculum description: We use the Emergent Curriculum, a teaching philosophy which is designed to bring children's worlds into the classroom, especially by using children's interests and ideas to mold classroom activities. The curriculum includes age-appropriate activities and exercises meant to foster and promote individual and social growth.

Staff-to-child ratios:
Infants 1:3
Toddlers 1:5

Meals: Parents are responsible for infant and toddlers' nutritional needs. Snacks are provided for toddlers.

Enrollment: Children are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Priority is given to families with other children enrolled in our program, or to families facing a crisis or severe emergency situation. In order to reserve a space for a child, we require a non-refundable payment of the first month's tuition, as well as the registration fee.

Subsidy Acceptance: 1201 Child Care accepts all subsidies.

Fees and Rates:

  • Monthly Tuition: Infants: $1,181; Toddlers: $1,097.
  • Registration Fee: $50 per child, due upon enrollment.

Licensing: This center is licensed by the City of Seattle (DHHS) and the State of Washington (DSHS).

How to Apply: Parents or legal guardians interested in enrolling their child(ren) in this program should go to the child care center (the address is listed above) and fill out an application. Assistance is available for families who need help filling out the forms.
