Metro Seattle

The YWCA offers the following options in downtown and Central Seattle for those seeking emergency shelter, transitional or permanent housing or affordable hotel accommodations:

Services for Homeless Women

  1. Angeline's
At YWCA Angeline's Center for Homeless Women, the danger, uncertainty and indignity of living on the streets are replaced by safety, support and respect. Located on the ground floor of the building, Angeline's is a safe haven for as many as 250 women a day.

The homeless women who come to Angeline's can enjoy meals in the dining room, leave their belongings in large lockers, care for their personal hygiene in showers and bathrooms, and clean their clothes in the laundry rooms. Some 25 women can be accommodated overnight. On-site nurses provide basic health screenings and referrals to medical care. Mental health counseling and substance abuse counseling also are available.

Emergency Housing
The YWCA has multiple emergency shelter facilities in the Seattle metro area. Our shelters are several living units suitable for various family sizes. Some facilities can house single women with up to two children, while others accommodate larger families.

  • For shelter intake in downtown Seattle, call (206) 461-4882.
  • For shelter intake in Central Seattle, call (206) 568-7841.

Transitional Housing
Households staying in one of the emergency shelters may qualify for transitional housing, depending on availability.
