Program Overview
The Community Jobs (CJ) program helps King County TANF recipients find living-wage jobs that allow them to support themselves and their families and move off of TANF. The CJ program provides:
Up to six-month internships where participants gain valuable work experience
Workplace skills workshops
Training and educational program referrals related to the participant's career goals
Support services for appropriate work clothing
Child care, transportation and other basic needs resources
Individualized job search assistance including resume building and interview practice
Eligibility
Community Jobs Initiative programs are available to individuals who meet the following criteria:
- Parents currently receiving a TANF grant from DSHS
