project of king county:
HSP is a program designed to help families and individuals who are in a short-term crisis that has been resolved or is close to a resolution but has left the household financially challenged.
The YWCA is a subcontractor of the King County Housing Stability Project serving residents of King County since 1994. The project has preserved housing for thousands of residents throughout the area. It has maintained a consistent 92% and above success rate of helping households regain and maintain housing stability. This unique project offers grants that can be used to assist tenants that are in danger of eviction, as well as individuals and families who are homeless or who are being forced to move. Veteran households are strongly encouraged to apply.
Applicants should call the 211 Community Information Line to complete referral form and schedule an intake appointment. Income must not exceed 50 percent of the area median income (AMI) and it must be verifiable and current. Military and veterans households must have proof of status.
This program receives funding from the King County Veterans & Human Services levy.
