putting veterans back on the path to work through job search and training assistance.
In partnership with our network of community service organizations, the YWCA is helping veterans crack the job market by providing employment and training assistance.
All veterans accessing WorkSource Downtown Seattle can receive individualized employment assistance and case management to identify career pathway options, obtain vocational training, improve job search skills, remove barriers to work, and translate military experience into the civilian labor market.
Services: Career assessment, resume and cover letters, interviewing and networking, vocational training, workshops and job clubs, job placement, community referrals and additional support services.
Eligibility: Veteran (will need DD214 or proof of veteran status), Form NG 22 (for National Guard Veterans only), resident of King County, 18 years and older, valid photo I.D. and Social Security Card, motivated to work and able to commit to regular meetings.
Program Partners: YWCA Veteran Housing and Outreach Programs, King County Veteran Program and Dislocated Worker Program, Employment Security Department’s Disabled Veteran Outreach Program, WorkSource Downtown Seattle.
