This year marks the 25th anniversary of our Inspire Luncheons, when more than 3,400 guests come from far and wide to join the YWCA for a lunchtime experience like no other.

The Luncheons are an opportunity to connect with others in support of a shared cause – empowering women and families – and celebrate the achievements of our organization across Seattle, King and Snohomish counties.

In 1989, the very first YWCA Luncheon drew 1,000 guests and raised $137,000. My, how we’ve grown since then! In 2012, we raised nearly $1.5 million from 3,400 people at our Luncheons in Seattle, Bellevue and Everett; over the years, the Luncheons have cumulatively raised $21 million and made it possible for us to connect with more than 60,000 people across King and Snohomish counties each year.

But now, we’ve set our sights on the future. The YWCA has a vision: that all people live with dignity, free from violence, racism and discrimination. It may seem lofty, but we can’t accept anything less.

As we look forward to the next 25 years, we know that the YWCA Inspire Luncheons are imperative to making that vision a reality. Please join us and support our efforts to open the doors of opportunity for women and families.
